Family session – Baker Beach

Family sessions are all about letting the kids be themselves. Letting them run, pout, scream, and enjoy LIFE. Because that’s when personalities truly shine and the images become so raw and meaningful. I know that the way children move, smile and connect is what we, as parents, want to remember. So what if they have a temper tantrum, cry their eyes out because their toe has sand on it, or doesn’t have enough sand on it? A photoshoot is no different from your day-to-day life. You get some good moments, and and you get some not so good moments, but I don’t do this for the perfect moments, I do this because I want to capture ALL of it. ALL OF YOU.

So don’t worry about what might happen, because something else you hadn’t even thought of, WILL happen. If you bring a snack for everyone, wipes, enough toys to go around, and a good blanket, you’re MORE THAN ready for your beach session.

I’ll take a sassy kid, a temper tantrum, a daydreamer, a pouty face ANY DAY – What I won’t take? A cheesy smile! You’ll hear me say that again and again…

Before you go soak in all the images below, I’m going to be a wee bit honest with you. I usually spend a fair amount of time getting Dad to crack a smile, and loosen up. And that’s ok, because I take it ALL, remember?  But when a Dad is ALL IN like this Dad RIGHT HERE, it just makes me so happy!
